The Slow Death of A Blog

Well... here it is the middle of October and blogger still has not changed it's IP for its Dashboard and comment pages. For those of you who have been visiting my page and noticing the lack of blogging... this is the reason... well in part.

The real reason is because of a horrible program called Bsafe Online. Yes, it stinks. Since my last blog I have had many, many, MANY people tell me of problems they have had with the program... it gets a bug, gets a virus, suddenly for no reason starts blocking wanton sights like blogger... whatever the reason it suddenly for no reason makes online life horrible.

The only way I can blog is if I do so from another computer... because... for some reason... blogger is now an 'unseemly' sight. In fact, no later than a day after I posted last I heard from someone who randomly had the program start dropping banking websites and such. Certainly a program one should stay away from.

I purchased the program shortly after my home became the home of teenagers- which was around this time last year... so here I am... slowly waiting for the program to expire... unless that is some sort of bug as well?!

In other news....

I do intend to fight all odds and breath some sort of life back into the site for the election. As silent as my blog has been over the last few weeks- due this catastrophe- the election is nearing! I am like a kid in a candy store. I have already started assembling my election party packets and planning how to update the site in celebration of the day.

Have no fear... The Dialogue will have live coverage of the results as they become available on Tuesday of next week. I can hardly stand the wait! So many people are voting early. Who would ever want to vote early and miss out on all the fun?

What a wonderful day it will be; election lines; mad dashes to the polling places; edge of your seat suspense; and all the political news and pundits you could ever ask for. I plan to totally gorge myself on politics!

Another very exciting thing that will happen is the official prediction of the Presidential winner by The Dialogue. And lest their be any confusion- while not all of the Dialogues' 'endorsed' candidates have won elections and or nominations, The Dialogue has NEVER had an incorrect prediction of an election night result. You will not want to miss this years'!

As always... I do want to take this opportunity to provide a public service message and remind everyone that as of the last session of Congress, Presidential voting has now been split up into two distinct days. Republicans will be voting on Tuesday of next week and Democrats will be voting on Wednesday. The important thing to remember is that Republicans = Tuesday and Democrats = Wednesday. I hope this clears things up for everyone.

Whatever

My lack of recent blogging has several causes.

Most important is that my firewall service- the one that is supposed to protect my home from trashy sites, ugly e-mails, and sudden ‘unseemly’ pop-ups has gone haywire. Since the beginning of the month it has started to register blogger as one of those ‘unseemly’ sites. The only thing I can do is view a blog. It is really annoying.

The main problem is that the program is supposed to be the very best the internet has to offer- Besafe. I HATE IT. Why? Because it is so safe, that if it ever does mess up, like mine has done, the program must wait to expire, it cannot simply be reset. So, I have no idea what I am going to do, but I certainly will never buy it again- and no matter what anyone else says, I would advise you to not buy it as well.

The next reason is that for some reason or other, I have discovered that I simply have fewer hours in the day then most people. I have actually been able to figure that I am missing a whole 2 hours somewhere in my day. This has all sorts of effects.

For one, I cannot blog as often as I was accustoming to just a few months ago. By the time I get home, cook dinner, and sit down for just about five minutes, it is time to get up and do something- and sometimes it is just a simple thing that could have very easily been avoided if people actually cared about their jobs.

An example: Today, not only am I running behind and blogging anyway, but I also have to drive all the way to FedEx. Why is that a problem? Because the FedEx guy couldn’t do one simple thing- put my package in the mail slot on my door. Where are all the hard workers?

That is really just about all the reason’s I could come up with; however, I did want to mention that I have a new iphone. I LOVE IT!!! It is fantastic and incredible. In fact, some of those two hours have probably gone to the discovery of all of the wonderful new things my iphone can do.

In fact, you need one too! :O)

What every Joe-six-pack and Soccer Mom should know

For some reason my computer will not allow me to blog. I have no idea why… technology can be so wonderful. Nonetheless, I have decided to pull out the ole laptop- disconnect the cords to my desktop- and blog anyway. I am stickin’ it to the man; in this case technology!

Today the economy took another nose dive; so many commentators are quick to point out the Republicans are taking a ‘hit’ for it. I guess tonight’s blog is just my feeble attempt at reassuring myself that the average ‘Joe-six-pack’ and ‘soccer mom’ really do know their history and actually do some sort of research before selecting the next idiot to be President.

Does anyone ever get tired of the Republicans and the strong, sound free markets of the United States being under the attack of Democrats and the media who fawn over them? I certainly do.

It amazes me that everyone seems to forget that way back in 1999, that era when the Resolute Desk had to be refinished due to some mysterious fluid found underneath, that our proud, free markets were forced to ‘deregulate’ and accept the credit of individuals whose credit was “generally not good enough to qualify for conventional loans.”

In other words, tax-payers were forced to foot the bill for the ‘economically disadvantaged’ so that they could also participate in the American dream of owning a $250,000 home- which by the way, I don’t own.

Now, in ways no one could have possibly predicted (except the Republicans in 2003), it seems that the Medicare baby makers of our Nation weren’t making enough at the local 7-eleven to keep their mortgage payments up. Our once free markets are paying the price. This of course is all due to the fact that millionaires are greedy- the dots are hard for me to connect as well.

Free markets are not the culprit of our current condition. It is… a drum roll please… fed from the bosom of the Democratic party- Affirmative Action- the great American Institution of our time!

For over ten years our markets have been providing the over $250,000 American dream to anyone- and I do mean anyone- and this Clinton initiative has now come back to haunt us. Wow- eight years of sound Republican policy has still not been able to undo this mess. God help us if the unthinkable happens.

The scariest part is that so many simple minded people are willing to hand our proud markets to the government to destroy them even further. I quote Patrick Henry, a Founding Father of America, Signer of the Constitution of the United States, and personal hero:

Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others take, but as for me; give me Liberty, or give me death!

Nothing… absolutely nothing is more precious then freedom. The children of Israel were rebuked for longing for the garlic of a ‘safe’ captivity. If we are not careful we will repeat history and allow Obama and his minions to shame America and rape her on the world’s stage for a false sense of security.

Forbid it, Almighty God!
