Where Are Those Results?

Many Dialogue fans have been asking about the Dialogue Poll Results which are conducted by Ms. Aprelle Coleman. For those of you who have not noticed… they have not been appearing on our site since just before the New Year.

Shortly after Thanksgiving of last year, we were informed by our legal department that the phrase ‘Coleman Poll’ was copyrighted. Apparently there is a company that makes various camping supplies and one of them just happens to be a ‘coleman poll.’ We have no idea what it is used for.

Right away we took the stance of not doing away with our ‘Dialogue Coleman Poll’ survey because it has become a staple to the Dialogue site itself. We didn’t want to push the ‘envelope’ so we made a decision to postpone all further ‘Dialogue Coleman Poll Results’ until after the matter had been studied and our lawyers had decided the best course of action.

Apparently Ms. Coleman, being the exceptional employee she is, took matters into her own hands and contacted the company who owned the copyright herself. The company informed us that they did not have a copyright on the phrase ‘Coleman Poll’ but on the phrase ‘Coleman Pole’. Once this communication arrived (yesterday) we were elated.

So, it is with great joy and pride that we inform you that the newest ‘Coleman Poll Results’ will be posted April 11, 2008. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this might have caused to our most faithful readers.

We have since fired the illiterate lawyer who made this initial mistake.

I don't blame you for firing your lawyer! I've wondered where your Poll questions were and why it hadn't changed in a long time. Now, I can relax! LOL! Thank you!
