An Article Worth Repeating...

A lady after my own cold and frozen January heart...
End Your Lying, Boldly Declare: 'I Hate Winter'
If there's one thing I hate, it's those perky fresh-faced freaks telling me how much they just love winter.

"The snow, the cold, bundling all up for a brisk walk in that beautiful sparkling air. It's so refreshing!" they say.

It stinks. Having surgery is more fun than winter. Pick a ward, any ward. They cover you up with one of those nice heated blankets, give you drugs. You lie around, watch Jerry Springer, get a big thrill out of having your first post-op movement.

You've got something positive to think about -- your repair -- and a brighter future to look forward to. Nurses pamper you, friends bring chocolates, and each day of healing brings improvement. So... wherever you are, whatever you're doing right now, dig deep for the courage to finally be heard, stand and deliver your message!

The relief and the freedom you'll feel will astound you.

Besides, I really believe those people who claim to love winter are lying, self-deluded, in denial, or just seriously in need of professional help.

Really, what's to like? I love my yard, but right now, like most of you, I'm only using about 5% of it, and I have to shovel to get at it.

This article has been 'modified' for length and slight censorship. The Author was very descriptive in her disdain for winter.

Sorry Bro Joseph, but I do love winter...fires, snow, and hot chocolate!

I liked winter, until I had a certain surgery that left me with a scar that reminds me of the surgery every time it gets cold. Deep burning, bruising sensation... I'm ready for spring!

LOL I like how you never told us where that scar is.

Anyway... you all just say you like winter because of what you pretend it is. Rarely is the hot chocolate good enough or the fireplace perfect enough. It is cold, damp, dead, and long. The only good thing is that I get to sleep with my electric blanket... I have had a secret love affair with electric blankets for years now. :o)

I love the winter! The fire is constant! The coffee is fine when the chocolate isn't perfect, and the cold wont last near long enough before truely damp, hot, muggy good-for-nothing-but-easter spring comes.

I absolutely LOVE winter!!!!!!!!!! You can always put on more clothes to get warm, but you can't pull enough off to stay cool in the spring and summer. An added plus in the winter is NO YARD WORK! Come visit East Texas in the summer, you will then appreciate winter.

Actually my grass needs to be cut again and I'm tired of going out in the cold to kill ant beds. If we could have snow here, the cold might just be justified! Anyone ready for a FL vacation???
