A Very Merry Return

After several years of the term ‘Christmas’ being under increasing attack on behalf of the meager two percent minority of Americans who are not Christians; Wal-Mart, Macy’s Corp., and Khols Inc. have all announced in recent weeks that starting this year they will all be returning to that novel, age-old greeting of ‘Merry Christmas’. That’s right; in a nation that is majority Christian, we can hear the words ‘Merry Christmas’ along with ‘Christ’mas music in our stores. Who would have ever thought?

In this great country of America, whoever said that everyone had to be happy and un-offended? In fact, if I am not mistaken, someone is almost always offended by something or someone. In a country that is ruled by a majority, there will always be a minority with a different opinion. The important thing to remember is that there will always be a minority… and that alone means that there will always be a group of people who do not agree or think the same as the larger whole of society. What is perplexing, is when in American society it became chic for the minority to rule the majority? Whenever it happened, however it happened, a small victory has been won this holiday… I mean ‘Christmas’ season. So… on behalf of the VAST majority of Americans:

Merry Christmas to you!

For those of you who are in North Texas we also had a very merry return of snow! Here is a picture of my house blanketed in snow on December 1. So cool… literally.

Well - we had no snow, but I love seeing the pictures! Your home looks so cozy - just like it is. Is that dog still running away every time you open the door? I guess it will be gone when Jason moves out.....

Amazing what 2 hours will do...We had flurries, but nothing like what your house looks like!! What's this about "that dog" still running away every time you open the door...? Does Isabelle need to be trained before she gets a new home..;)???

Joseph, I wanted to vote on the reindeer, but I don't see RUDOLPH! What's the deal? RUDOLPH is the MOST FAVORITE REINDEER of ALL! LOL! I just HAD to say something about it! Maybe I'm missing something?

To those rudolph people... I had no idea how to spell it and after all, he is just a story... not a REAL reindeer.
